Doesn’t recognize Webcam Live! Motion

I was looking for something to control a Creative Webcam Live! Motion, but it doesn’t even recognize it. It would be nice to think of asking for a return, but I suppose I will be using this on another Webcam. Looks like it has good features.

Works Fine

I have a Late 2014 Macbook Pro 15” Retina with an Intel Core i7 2.8GHz Processor w/ Turboboost to 4.0GHz, 16GB DDR3 RAM, 512GB Solid State Drive, Dual Graphics Cards - Intel Iris Pro 1.5GB RAM & NVIDIA GeForce GT 750m 2GB RAM, and a Facetime HD Internal Camera. This App works and does what is states it does. These adjustments should be part of the OS, but since they are not, this app is worth purchasing for $7.99. It will make your video calls etc… look much much better. Gave it 4 Stars instead of 5 because I feel it needed more adjustments for my internal camera. Still, a very good rating and I would highly recommend this app.

Does not work with 10.10.x and MS LifeCam Studio

After few minutes the webcam always shows artifacts.

Doesnt do zoom

Im grateful I can now use the Orbit webcam on my Mac, with pan & tilt, but I really need zoom and focus also.

No zoom?

I personally purchased this soley on the fact that I could make my built in MacBook Pro camera zoom. It did not offer hardly any features for the MacBook Pro built-in camera. Which your page does not disclaim that could happen. Nicely built, I give you that. But did not serve its purpose in my case.

Does absolutely nothing on Macbook Air 2013

I’ve tried this with both the internal iSight camera and a USB Microsoft Lifecam HD. Does absolutely nothing! No zoom, no pan, no tilt! I want my money back as this product is quite literally useless to me. I’ve tried all the basic troubleshooting techniques to no avail. (20+ years in IT) Very disappointed with this app and will be requesting refund. Caveat emptor. :-(

Very good applocation

I used it to control my Logitech HD 1080p USB camera. I use this camera for video conference and the default zoom level makes my head look too small, so I use the Zoom feature of this app to make my head bigger.

Solved my lighting problems

I’m running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) - 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 - 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 - Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB. This has made it possible for me to shoot videos good enough for YouTube using just the built in camera, clamp lights, aluminum foil, and parchment paper. Keep in mind that if your camera doesn’t zoom or pan, this won’t magically make those physical features appear. Also, after the first time you use it, it will only appear as a tiny icon on top of your screen. I forgot about that and was cursing it until I remembered. “Right click” on that icon to show the settings panel.

useless to me

I hooked up a Logitec Web Cam Pro 9000 to my Mac Mini, it came with software for Windows that allowed me to digitally adjust the pan, tilt, zoom, and resolution on the camera and also had tracking capabilities. Unfortunately Logitec didn’t offer this software for Apple, at least I couldn’t find it. I found this app in the store and bought it because of the positive reviews but was very disappointed with it. When the camera is not being used by another application this application can activate the digital pan and tilt functions but doesn’t have controls for zoom, motion tracking or resolution selection. When the camera is being used by FaceTime I couldn’t activate the pan or tilt functions. This app is pretty much useless to me, fortunately $8 isn’t going to break me.

will put 5 stars if it works Playstation Eye -macbook pro

Hi, i just bought your app from app store 7,99, My goal was to make work my playstation eye camera on my macbook pro 2.3 Ghz intel Core i7 version 10.7.5. for skype. Your sofware only reconize my built in camera and not the usb playstation one.I hope it just a little setting that i miss otherwise i losty my money. Can you help me?

LifeCam Studio on OS X El Capitan 10.11 iMac 2005 PERFECT!!!

LifeCam Studio video perfection on 2005 iMac 23” El Capitan 10.11. Note 1: On rare occations, allow 10~15 seconds for a large adjustment to take effect. Be patient. Note 2: After about 20~25 minutes, Webcam Settings video window starts flashing on and off continuously but DID NOT DO THIS IN 1.5 HOUR ooVoo VIDEO CONFERENCE immediately afterwards. Guessing; The flashing on and off may be Webcam Settings way to remind user to turn off that video window before using your video application. This makes sense but I don’t have the experience yet to know for sure. I only know that it did NOT cause any problems within my video conferences where the LifeCam performed flawlessly with the auto focus.

Doesnt work with my C920 on El Capitan

Used to work great, but now the icon always stays grayed out, regardless of whether or not the camera is in use. Pretty sure it coincided with the upgrade to El Capitan, but it seems that the application is no longer supported by its author, so Im not exactly waiting with bated breath for an update.

Does very little for built in Macbook camera

I have a 2015 Macbook - the only adjustments possible in this app are brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, sharpness, exposure time and ‘noise reduction’. All I wanted was a zoom function for my built-in camera.

Works great!

Worked great straight out of the box. It was exactily what I needed. I had too much glare trying to create videos of bugs. Lowering the brightness setting did the trick.

DO NOT BUY THIS IT DOESN’T WORK WITH EL CAPITAN

Downloaded it, the app will not launch. Tried on two different computers, same result, deleted it and requested a refund. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!!

I don’t get why there’s negative reviews. It works awesome!

I have the Logitech C920 1080p hd webcam and this app lets me easily adjust the brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpenss, white balance etc as well as have the ability to zoom, pan and tilt and even manual focus. It also allows you to turn off the backlight compensation which for me was a lifesaver because my room by self is really dark and would illuminate my face way too bright and now I can turn that off. It’s a great little app and has dramatically improved my youtube recordings as well as just looking better lit and sharper when I have skype convos :)

Once worked great, now won’t appear on menu bar

This was a great app - fixed white balance issues with external webcams for video conferencing perfectly. As of the February update, the app no longe appears on my menu bar. Wrote app developer twice, no response. Too bad, this was a great app. Now I have to buy a new webcam to get one that works with the mac. Irritating. Running latest update of OS X El Capitan on MacBook Air- 10.11.3. Bummer.

Works great! Microsoft LifeCam 1080p on El Capitan

Title says it all really…I use a Microsoft LifeCam 1080p on OS X El Capitan. I put off buying this app for the longest time and today I just said screw it, I’m going to get it. I know it seems rather expensive for just a basic functioning app like this that sends USB commands and that’s pretty much it — however, it does work really well and also has the option to save profiles, which I really like. Even works with the built in Face Time camera. I’m giving it 4 stars because I believe this app should cost only 4.99 — however I realize that Apple takes a cut of every sale, so that’s probably why it’s priced like it is. To the developer — thank you very much, my videos are looking so much better now.

Stopped working in El Capitan for me

No longer runs at all after I upgraded to MacOS El Capitan release.

Not perfect, but it helps!

The way the lighting is in my office, the picture that the webcam on my iMac - this very expensive piece of equipment - is terrible. The white balance and exposure are WAY off. Skin tone becomes magenta, and any light on the face becomes a white-out situation. Apple has replaced the camera, and with the help of Apple Care the OS was set back to factory settings. All of this took HOURS! Then to find out that this is a problem with these cameras, and that there are no settings within the OS itself to adjust the camera. Really??? This whole set up cost way more than my DSLR, and I can’t adjust the white balance or exposure?? That’s a Bad Apple. So, this app is not a cure-all to be sure. But it does adjust the exposure and the white balance. It is not perfect, but obviously the webcam is not perfect. So I am happy for the adjustments, and not so happy with Apple. So I rate if 4 for really good but not perfect. Worth the $8.
